Our well loved son, husband, father, brother and friend, who brought joy, laughter and natural talent everywhere he went. This is where we keep speaking to you, Jerome, in our own words, in pictures, in our family's own voices. Because, "It is what it is…"

I went to visit my brother's grave tonight after they finally installed his headstone after 6 months. Reality hit me as soon as I saw it. He's really gone.
Words can't explain how I feel right now. I miss him so much and I want him here. NGL, I beat myself up sometimes because I feel like I should have been there for him more than I have. I love you, Jerome Smith.
Life is so short and we can lose a loved one in a blink of an eye. Cherish the moments you have with your family and friends, because we don't know when our time will come. We make plans for the future not knowing if we will be here to see it. Live in the present as if it were your last.

Laid my big brother to rest yesterday. Even though it was hard, I have no doubt in my mind that he is in God's arms in heaven.
I'll miss you so so much and I wish I didn't have to see you go so soon, but God's timing isn't our own. I love my family and I miss you dearly, Jerome Smith. I'll never forget you. Until we meet again.
